| DocX
The goal of the DocX Service
is to provide a community platform for Enterprise
Application Integration (EAI) and business-to-business
(B2B) document exchange, using Extensible
Markup Language (XML), both within the enterprise
and with your supply chain.
Extend your Application
Real-time integration of disparate software
applications effectively 'extends' each
application, without jeopardising security,
privacy & individuality. Here's how
:
a. The sending application
'sends' a document to the recieving application.
b. As the document is 'entered'
into the recipient's application*, the sender
recieves immediate acknowledgment, which
is stored as status in the sending application.
Thus, the sending application has been 'extended'
by including status of document sent. (
This status was not present earlier.)
c. The recieving application
processes the document (data) independently.
The result of such process is another document,
which is sent to the original sending application.
Once again the process is repeated and the
status of this document is stored in the
application.
d. With the swift flow of
more & more document between applications
of a community, each individual application
starts behaving like an (interconnected)
'module' of a larger system which serves
the entire community.
e. Ultimately, multiple software
applications integrate with each other in
real-time, thereby resulting in more powerful,
new solutions.
* After due checking &
authorisation by user at recieving end.
XML
The design emphasis is to use XML to
integrate your existing data models, solutions,
and application infrastructure, and adapt
them for electronic commerce. |
